About Pete Marris...

Pete Marris is a former RAAF qualified flying instructor with extensive multi-engine and IFR experience. He currently flies EMS helicopter missions with LifeFlight, operating the AW139, Bell 412, and BK117 across challenging environments. In fixed-wing, Pete is a Grade 1 multi-engine instructor with Peace Aviation, specialising in multi-engine instrument training, aerobatics, and tailwheel class endorsements. He mentors advanced students, emphasising safety, disciplined procedures, and real-world decision-making. Beyond the cockpit, Pete co-owns AusFlight, developing high-quality online and in-person aviation training. His combined military, EMS, and instructional backgrounds make him a versatile educator who bridges operational demands with practical, effective pilot development.
