About Rob Hoyland...

Rob Hoyland is co-owner of AusFlight and is a GA flight instructor. He brings substantial tertiary teaching experience across TAFE and university, translating academic rigour into practical, engaging aviation training. As Chief Flying Instructor of the AusFlight Flying School, Rob leads standards, mentoring, and syllabus design while operating the Jabiru J-230D for ab-initio and advanced sorties. He also instructs casually with Peace Aviation, keeping his GA practice current and diverse. Rob’s strengths span pedagogy, safety leadership, and competency-based assessment, enabling students to progress confidently from foundations to advanced skills within AusFlight’s blended online and in-air programs.
